In The Transparent Blindness, one of The Children of the Dandelions, we meet a child who sees the world with an open and unfiltered gaze. Curious and full of wonder, the child explores everything with an innocence that allows beauty to be found in the smallest of things. Yet behind this openness lies a quiet vulnerability. Sometimes, the world can be frightening, and the desire to keep exploring can make the child blind to the things that may cause harm.
There is a delicate balance between seeing everything and not seeing what hurts. Between the courage to explore and the fear of what might be waiting beyond the familiar. The child's deepest longing is to find a place where curiosity can flourish without fear — a place where wonder can grow into something beautiful, meaningful and safe.
The Transparent Blindness is a reflection on innocence, vulnerability, curiosity and the need for belonging. It speaks of the delicate nature of growing up in a world that is not always gentle, and of the longing to find a home where one can remain open to the world without being hurt by it.
The Children of the Dandelions is an ongoing series exploring grief, belonging, resilience and hope. Each new artwork reveals another chapter in a visual narrative where symbolism and photography come together to tell stories of transformation and the quiet strength found within vulnerability.
Each artwork is accompanied by a poem or short story that expands the narrative beyond the image. The artwork captures one defining moment; the full story continues outside the frame.
The Transparent Blindness is part of an ongoing exploration of the fragile balance between innocence and experience, curiosity and fear — and the universal longing to find a place where we can feel safe enough to see the world with open eyes.
