This artwork is a tribute to Malmö FF — a club built on history, passion and an unbreakable bond between the team and its supporters.
Alter Ego Li is surrounded by collected symbols and fragments found along the way — from the shores of Höllviken, through the streets of Malmö, to the heart of Stockholm and the surroundings of the Royal Palace. Each element carries a trace of a place, a moment or a memory connected to the journey of the club and the people who follow it.
The sky blue is more than a colour. It represents belonging, pride and generations of shared dreams, victories and emotions. It lives in the stands, in the streets and in the hearts of everyone who carries Malmö FF with them.
Through photography, collected objects and symbolism, the artwork transforms these fragments into a visual story about identity, loyalty and the invisible connections between places and people.
Alter Ego Li becomes a symbol of the collective spirit surrounding the club — not a portrait of one person, but a figure carrying the stories, memories and emotions of everyone who stands behind the blue and white.
A tribute to Malmö FF. A tribute to the passion that travels far beyond the city itself.
Alter Ego Li is the central figure throughout this series. She originates from a photograph of the artist's daughter, Li, but has been intentionally transformed through prompting and digital image-making into a symbolic character rather than a portrait.
By creating an alter ego, distance emerges between the person in the original photograph and the figure that appears within the artwork. Li is no longer one individual; she becomes a universal presence, capable of carrying different stories, emotions and interpretations for every viewer.
